Eating a pack of crisps whilst on a cross trainer

True story that

Anyway, below are a few recent testimonials from people that went through our goal setting process?

We could call this mad (making a difference)

Remember from what I told you yesterday, 97% of  people don't achieve their goals because of 3 things

Well, when the three things are put in to place like they are in our application to become member process

You achieve things like these two people

"I spent an hour and half talking to Joe Hanney this morning for my one 2 one. I haven't felt this de stressed and so clear of my goals (not only fitness and health wise but generally in life) in god knows how long. Just wanted to say a big thank you" Jemini Vaghela

"Hi Joe, just to say a huge massive thank you for last night. We have not stopped talking about it and thoroughly enjoyed it" Kerry Hearsey

Testimonials like this make it ALL worth while because it proves to people like you that it can happen, its kinda like social proof

And once you see other people doing it, you feel more confident to step forward yourself

Just like when the so called experts, said that no one will ever complete a mile in under 4 minutes because you'd die else

So everyone was afraid until

A gent came along and did just that

Broke the 4 minute mile

And lived!!!

His name Roger Bannister

Soon after, when people seen he was still alive

Other people started to break the 4 minute mile rule

You see it only takes one

Now, on to todays email.

I actually did see a member of a gym on a cross trainer, eating a bag of crisps

At first, I thought this was quite amusing

Me being me had to go and ask him why he was eating a bag of crisps

His reply "ive not eaten anything all day and I need some energy"

Fair point, even if the crisps wasn't the right choice at least there was some sense to is madness

Now, I'm not going to go into a mad rant about what he should be doing

But rather give the opposite

You see, at this point I could be very judgemental and ive been known to be like this in the past

But what ive learnt

And more importantly learnt about human behaviour

And peoples values

If coaching this person, id be confident to say that he's a driven by choice

Someone who doesn't need too much information but tries to fill in the gaps themselves

Kinda making their own rules up

A lot of people are like this by the way because there just fed up of the sh?t information that's out there

So they have nothing to lose

The best way id coach this person is by allowing them to make their own plans

And i just fill in the gaps for them

See the difference here?

In our industry, its all about dictatorship

Do this

Don't do that

Eat like me the PERFECT PT

You see

Its all about understanding the person in front of you

We are all unique in our own way

BUT only VERY GOOD coaches get this

Thinking back now I wish I had helped this client

Because at the time everyone judge him, mocked him because he was eating a bag of crisps

BUT I guarantee that if coached by me he would have had the best results in the gym by far

I might have even upgraded the crisps to a family pack

To rub it even more :)
